Belhanda hints at Villa move

Montpellier playmaker Younes Belhanda has revealed that he would prefer a move to the Premier League amid speculation that Aston Villa have made a bid.

Villa are one of five clubs interested in acquiring Belhanda's services, according to La Paillade chairman Louis Nicollin.

The other teams to have reportedly tabled bids in the region of £14million are AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray, while Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be admirers of the 23-year-old.

The Ligue 1 club have given Belhanda permission to decide where he wants to ply his trade next season, with the Morocco international admitting that Villa are a 'big club'.

"I am definitely aware that there are five clubs with serious interest in me," he said. "The president told me how much I will cost for any team that wants me.

"I have told everyone that England will be my first choice. Aston Villa is a great club with a big history playing in the best league in the world, so let's see what will happen."
