Ghana will be looking to book their place in the 2014 African Nations Championship semi-finals when they take on the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Free State Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Black Stars secured their spot in the last-eight as Group C winners, having gone undefeated in the opening round of fixtures, beating Congo and Ethiopia 1-0 either side of the 1-1 draw against Mali, who eventually finished second.
Maxwell Konadu's men will now be considered favourites to progress to the semis when they face the Leopards, who finished in the runners-up position in Group D.
Santos Mutubile's men entered the final round of group fixtures with their fate in their own hands and did not disappoint as they edged the decider against Burundi 2-1 to progress through to the quarter-finals.
That result had followed on from their 1-0 defeat to Gabon, although they had started the tournament with victory after seeing off group whipping boys Mauritania, whose South Africa adventure eventually ended without any points on the board.
