Crystal Palace earned an FA Cup third replay against Premier League side Stoke City with a goalless draw at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
Championship outfit Palace may not be in the same league technically as Stoke, but for much of the first half the gulf in class was anything but apparent.
Wilfried Zaha in particular proved a real handful in the final third, while the Potters' threat was reduced to just a half chance for Peter Crouch from close range.
Michael Owen, making a rare start for Tony Pulis, was hauled off after an ineffective afternoon shortly after the start of the second half, to be replaced by Charlie Adam, who himself failed to inspire the Potters.
Palace substitute Jason Banton missed a decent opportunity to grab his side the lead after 74 minutes, the Crystal Palace man shooting wide of the up-right.
The final 10 minutes were dominated by Palace, with Stoke seemingly unable to string together more than two or three passes, and Peter Ramage was unlucky to see his shot from inside the area clear the bar.
